I am an equity release expert with over 20 years’ experience advising on later life lending. I was present when Aviva launched Equity Release in 1999 and I have watched the whole equity release market grow with product innovation, features and benefits that can be tailored to individual customer circumstances.

My North Star

As Head of Compliance, I have kept my equity release licence as spending time with customers and providing them with open, transparent & ethical advice is important. My role is dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction and treating customer fairly as maintained within the culture and DNA of Equity Release Supermarket.

Achievements

As the Head of Compliance and an Equity Release Subject Matter Expert, I am honoured to represent larger firms on the Equity Release Council Standards Board. My experience helps maintain, develop and promote the Rules and Guidance and Statements of Principles which all Council Members must adhere to.

Downtime

I live in Durham with my wife, and our son, who has now left home to start a BA Honours Degree at Glasgow University. When I am not working, I enjoy attending the Theatre, or the opera and I also enjoy spending time walking and cycling with my family and friends.
