I’ve been advising on equity release schemes since 1999, having spent 13 years at Aviva, before joining the multi-award winning Equity Release Supermarket in 2013. I have become a fully independent equity release adviser and I’ve now been working in the financial service industry since 1991.

My North Star

I love the principle of equity release as it enables clients to meet their dreams immediately. The highlight of my role is hearing about how clients have spent their money and also receiving their feedback. I find it easier to deal over the telephone, and use technology to its advantage.

Achievements

Completing my diploma in Financial Planning was a proud moment, but also to have qualified for a number of sales incentives. I once helped a client with breast cancer, who thought she couldn’t afford to keep her house. After examining her life insurance policy, Aviva then paid off her mortgage.

Downtime

I love walking in the nearby Peak District with my wife and miniature schnauzer - and then finding a tearoom. I enjoy watching football and golf, and equally enjoy watching netball, as both my daughters and wife play. I never thought I’d write that! I live in North East Derbyshire.
