Crown are members of the Equity Release Council, hence follow their code of conduct which includes the rule of guaranteeing the provision of a lifetime tenancy to all applicants.
Crown Equity Release offer a different approach to home reversion plans. They use private investors who offer flexibility on accepting property types that may normally be declined elsewhere. Therefore, Crown will individually consider cases selectively and usually outside other lenders standard property criteria.
This home reversion plan has a minimum age of 65 and will only accept properties with a value in excess of £80,000, with no upper limit.
Crown will consider applications that are based on location. These property types could include non-standard construction, ex-council properties and short leaseholds, each on their own merits.
Their home reversion scheme will offer the ability to sell upto 100% of the property value aswell as including the option of a a capital and monthly payment plan. Should the initial sale of the property only be done partially, Crown will permit further advances in the future, subject to a minimum release of £10,000.
